AUD/JPY opened Thursday at 94.85 before falling to an early morning low of 94.31. AUD/JPY then rallied to as high as 95.16 before falling back to the 200-hour simple moving average (SMA) around 95.05 during the session.
The AUD/JPY has been stuck in a familiar range, trading between 93.00 and 96.00 since June, when the pair spiked as high as 97.67.
The medium-term trend remains stable in the middle of the range, as AUD/JPY continues to fluctuate around its 50-day moving average, and the 200-day moving average is trending higher from 92.62, providing technical support for a reversal to the downside.
