People’s Bank of China Governor Zhang Qingsong: Not too worried about China’s economic situation

Zhang Qingsong, deputy governor of the People’s Bank of China (PBOC), told an international financial summit in Hong Kong on Tuesday that he was “not too worried about the Chinese economy.

Zhang Qingsong added that “according to international standards, the Chinese government’s overall debt level is at a mid-to-lower level.”

At the time of writing, AUD/USD was testing the daily low near 0.6470, down 0.22% on the day, and was not affected by the optimistic remarks of officials from the People’s Bank of China.
